Monticello Generating Station

Demolition, Abatement and remediation of Monticello Generating Station – 1,800 MW plant (3 units) located in Mt. Pleasant TX – Vistra Energy/Luminant Power. Scope of work includes Asbestos abatement (TSI PIPE, floor tile and roofing material), removal and disposal of hydraulic oil and demolition of power block and Turbine buildings. IDR will demolish the three turbine buildings using mechanical means (excavators, shears and hammers), prepare the power block for implosion and perform implosion to make the structure accessible by excavators for further processing and removal.
